This MHFA one day mental health awareness and skills course qualifies you as an Adult MHFA Champion. MHFA Champions have an understanding of common mental health issues, the knowledge and confidence to advocate for mental health awareness and the ability to spot signs of mental ill health.

This brilliant, interactive, two day course qualifies you as a mental health first aider. You will gain a deep understanding of what mental health is and what factors can affect well-being. The course gives you the skills to spot the signs of mental illness, gives you the confidence to step in and support a person who needs assistance and provides a framework, reference materials and useful resources, not only for your own well-being but for those around you too.

24th June 2020

This half day course offers an introduction to mental health issues and enables you to increase your knowledge in mental health, the factors affecting mental health, stigma and its impact on recovery. It covers how you can start a conversation with someone about their mental health and how you can look after your own mental health.

MHFA England developed the Adult MHFA Refresher course in 2019 to allow existing Mental Health First Aiders and Mental Health Champions to refresh their MHFA skills. It is recommended that, in line with physical first aid approaches, MHFA skills are refreshed every three years.
